It’s been a while since Rockstar dropped that first GTA 6 trailer, and fans have been counting the days ever since. The game isn’t out yet, but we already know plenty of details, from the official release date to where the story’s set and what kind of chaos you can cause in its massive open world.
So, what all we know about GTA 6 so far? Read on.
Release Date and Price in India
Mark your calendars as the GTA 6 is set to release on May 26, 2026, for PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, Rockstar Games has already confirmed. While earlier whispers suggested more delays, publisher Take-Two Interactive has confirmed the date in its latest earnings report.
In India, the Standard Edition is expected to cost around Rs 5,999. If you’re eyeing the Deluxe or Special Editions, be prepared for prices starting above Rs 7,000 and potentially crossing Rs 10,000, depending on the extras bundled in.
GTA 6 Story and Characters
This time, Rockstar is giving us two main protagonists – Jason and Lucia. They’re partners in crime (literally) who find themselves tangled in a dangerous conspiracy across the state of Leonida after a job goes wrong. The narrative will focus heavily on their teamwork and choices, with some reports suggesting a “love meter” system that changes the story based on how you play.
Alongside the leads, we’ll meet other key characters like Raul Bautista, Real Dimez, Brian Heder, Dre’Quan Priest, and more.
GTA 6 Gameplay and Features
GTA 6 promises the largest and most immersive map in the series yet, centred around a modern-day Vice City but also including other areas, possibly even Liberty City, some reports suggest. On the basis of the leaked details, we can expect a massive 150GB base install size, potentially doubling with future updates. Moreover, an in-game social media platform where your character can post and interact and a more dynamic open world, with evolving storylines influenced by your decisions, are what we can expect.
