It’s beta day for Fedora 43 and the release media is ready for testing!

Fedora 43 Beta ISOs are now available for those wanting to help in testing this next major Fedora Linux release. Fedora 43 is powered by the Linux 6.17 kernel, GNOME 49 is powering Fedora Workstation 43, and there are a wealth of updates as covered in countless Phoronix articles.

Fedora 43 continues enhancing its Anaconda WebUI, moves to Python 3.14, Wayland-only GNOME support, and many other changes as outlined on the the Fedora Wiki.

Fedora 43 Beta is releasing on-time and has shaped up to be a very nice release.

Fedora Workstation 43 Beta

Those wanting to try out Fedora 43 Beta can grab the ISO(s) of their choice via FedoraProject.org. In case you missed it, this morning I did publish some initial Fedora Workstation 42 vs. Fedora Workstation 43 Beta benchmarks. Fedora 43 is running smoothly. The main takeaway is better Python performance with Python 3.14.

Depending upon how the rest of the release cycle plays out, Fedora Linux 43 should be officially out in late October or early November.
