Tuler, Madagascar / Zug, Switzerland – June 24, 2025 —

FEDROK AG, the Swiss blockchain innovator behind the world’s first Level 1 blockchain dedicated to tokenized carbon credits, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Greentsika, a pioneering environmental social enterprise based in Madagascar, to explore the monetization of cash-for-trash projects through blockchain technology.

This partnership marks a strategic step towards leveraging FEDROK’s Level 1 blockchain platform to create transparent, traceable, and tokenized incentives for waste collection, empowering underserved communities and promoting circular economies across the island nation.

Greentsika’s grassroots model transforms plastic and organic waste into value through community-led recycling, while FEDROK brings cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure designed for social impact, particularly in tokenizing carbon credits and sustainability-linked assets.

“This MoU is not just a technical collaboration, it’s a shared mission to unlock the economic value of waste for the benefit of people and the planet,” said Philip Blazdell, CEO of FEDROK. “Together, we aim to build scalable, verifiable models for impact that can serve as blueprints for the Global South.”

“Partnering with FEDROK allows us to connect local climate action with global financial systems,” said Gaetan Rajaofera, Co-Founder of Greentsika. “It brings transparency to our impact and opens new pathways for community empowerment through decentralized technologies.”

The partnership will focus on:

  • Developing digital wallets and micro-reward mechanisms for waste contributors;
  • Piloting a token-based system to link waste collection with carbon offset markets;
  • Building a transparent, data-driven impact dashboard for funders and regulators.

This MoU lays the groundwork for a full-scale deployment of blockchain tools in community-based recycling, aligning with Madagascar’s national waste reduction goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
