Siemens Spain is about to undertake a major reorganization of its management leadership. Thus, starting next December 1, Fernando Silva will be its new President and CEO. Siemens Mobility Spain The person in charge also changes, although it will be at the beginning of next year. Starting next January 1, Ricardo Ramos will be its new CEOa position he will also hold for the entire southwestern region of Europe.
Both will replace Agustín Escobar in the positions he held until he was appointed CEO of Rail Infrastructure at Siemens Mobility. From now on, its base of operations will be in Berlin (Germany).
Fernando Silva has more than a quarter of a century of experience at Siemens, which is about to reach 130 years of presence in Spain. He has a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Higher Institute of Engineering of Lisbon (ISEL), and also has a degree in e-Business. Among other positions, he has been General Director for Spain and Portugal of Energy Management.
Between October 2011 and September 2014, he was General Director of the low and medium voltage and Smart Grid divisions, within the company’s Infrastructure and Cities area. Until now he was the CEO of Siemens Portugal and the General Director of Siemens Smart Infrastructure for Spain and Portugal.
As for Ricardo Ramos, he has a degree in Physical Sciences, and has 25 years of experience in the railway sector. He joined Siemens in 2013 after the purchase of Invensys Rail Dimetronic. Until 2018 he was Head of the Metro Systems Competence Center.
Later, until 2020, he directed the Engineering areas and the application development center of Siemens Mobility Spain. Currently it is the Director of the Mainline area of the Rail Infrastructure business area of Siemens Mobility Global.

As for Ricardo Ramos, he has indicated that for him “It is a pride to take over from Agustín Escobar at a key moment for mobility in our country, in which digitalization and sustainability play a crucial role.
