The fiber and mobile operator Finetwork has announced the departure of its CEO, Oscar Vilda, from the company. The manager has left the company 20 months after being named its top leader, with immediate effect, and everything indicates that it was a dismissal due to the dissatisfaction of part of the management and shareholders of the operator. For now, given the suddenness of the departure, Vida does not have a defined replacement, who according to the company will be named soon. In the meantime, it will be led by an interim transition committee.
This committee will be composed of Pascual Pérez, founder and president of the operator; Manuel Hernández, its current Business Director; and Carlos Valero, its chief technology officer. These three managers will be in charge of decision-making at Finetwork until a new CEO arrives. The operator, which has its headquarters in the Alicante town of Edla, currently has more than 1.3 million customers in Spain.
Finetwork is an MVNO; that is, a virtual mobile operator, which operates independently. It was founded in 2015 and its capital is completely Spanish. It currently sells both fiber and mobile connectivity, as well as other complementary services, throughout the Spanish territory.
According to Pascual Pérez, Founder and President of Finetworks and currently one of the members of the company’s provisional management committee, he has indicated that after the departure of Oscar Vilda, “a new stage of consolidation opens for this company, with the purpose to continue improving day by day the service we provide to our customers and distributors.
For now It is unknown if there are already candidates to permanently replace him in the position.or the steps that Finetwork management will follow to select his successor. What it does seem, according to Pérez’s words, is that the company is going to give a new twist to its strategy starting this year in 2025.
