Forza Horison 5 should have already been released on PS5

This year, Microsoft has radically changed its strategy regarding the release of its exclusives on its consoles and on competing platforms. With the new Game Pass offerings, all Xbox Games Studios games are no longer available Day One. This option is now reserved for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Concerning exclusive games on other consoles, we were entitled to the first games on PS5 and Nintendo Switch at the start of the year with the release of Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, Penment or even Sea of Thieves. In spring 2025, the next Indiana Jones will arrive on PS5, a few months after the release of the Xbox and PC versions. Today, we learned that the next title should be Forza Horizon 5 and that the latter would have should have already been released on the Sony console.

Forza Horizon 5: imminent release on PS5?

According to insider eXtas1s, the release of Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 would only be a matter of time. The game should have already been released on the Sony console (this summer) and would have been postponed to an unknown date. According to the insider, the port is still planned, the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 would therefore not be canceled.

Unfortunately, eXtas1s does not reveal more information and does not specify the reasons for the postponement. It simply confirms that the title should happen and that the studio is confident, strongly believing to the success of Forza Horizon 5 on this new platform.

Concerning the new release date, again, no news from eXtas1s. As a reminder, Forza Horizon 5 was released in November 2021 on Xbox Series X/S, PC and Xbox One. Thanks to its availability in Game Pass, the title had achieved the best launch of a game in the saga. After the United States (Horizon), the south of France (Horizon 2), Australia (Horizon 3) and Scotland (Horizon 4), this fifth opus took players to Mexico.
