A POPULAR football streaming service is coming to more TVs across the UK this month.

It includes a dedicated channel with live coverage, as well as hours of on-demand content.

Sports broadcasting is going through some big changes at the moment, with the closure of a major channel coming soon.

Eurosport is leaving the UK after 35 years on air.

Much of its content will move to TNT Sports – which is owned by the same company – with some free coverage appearing on the Quest channel.

Fortunately, there is still some free sport available to watch at any time.

FIFA+ launched in 2022 as a new free platform for football fans.

The service offers a number of big original documentaries, such as Ronaldinho: The Happiest Man in the World, Captains, and Golden Boot.

It’s also home to classic FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments you can watch again, as well as behind-the-scenes access.

And you can watch live matches from smaller leagues across the world too.

Although the app has been around on mobiles and some smart TVs for a while now, Brits have access to it another way as FIFA+ rolls out to more boxes.

Netgem TV boxes – which are used by TalkTalk, Community Fibre, BRSK and Connect Fibre – will now find the service available to them.

Notts TV Closure: A Decade of Local Broadcasting Ends

The firm says it will roll out “this month” to the UK and Ireland, before launching in France and other regions later.

“We are thrilled to partner with FIFA+ to bring free, premium sports content to our users,” said Sylvain Thevenot, Chief Commercial & Customer Officer at Netgem.

“This collaboration reinforces our dedication to providing a comprehensive and engaging entertainment experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality content at no extra cost to our audience, and further enhances the value we bring to our operator partners.”

Stream swapping – the easy way to cut your bills?

Here’s what Sean Keach, The Sun’s Head of Technology and Science, thinks…

It’s no secret that TV streaming apps are costing more and more.

Not only are prices shooting up, but we find ourselves asked to pay for an increasing number of apps and services.

And when you combine those TV bills with your music streaming, mobile and internet fees, and every other drain on your bank account, it all starts to get a bit much.

One of the best ways to cut your TV bills is to simply cancel all of your streaming subscriptions and only sign up to one per month.

Pick an app like Netflix, Disney+, or Apple TV+ and smash through all of the content you want to watch on that app.

Then the next month, swap to something else.

And once you’ve done them all, you can cycle back to the start again.

It’s an easy way to avoid forking out for a rolling library of streaming apps with more content than you could possibly watch.

Also don’t forget that paid-for streaming isn’t the only game in town.

There are loads of apps that don’t cost a penny to enjoy, and downloading a few will unlock thousands of live TV channels plus tens of thousands of movies and shows.

Try apps like Tubi, The Roku Channel, Plex, and Pluto TV to get some ad-supported television without having to pay any monthly fees.
