The unveiling of Nintendo Switch 2 has brought a variety of news: details about the console’s pricing and release date, GameCube titles joining Nintendo Switch Onlineand even a revelation about the mystery behind the Joy-Con 2s “C Button”. But what absolutely no one saw coming was The Duskbloods, From Software’s new game, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
The game’s trailer initially seemed to hint at a Bloodborne 2 sequel, with references to blood, full moons, hunting, and beasts—but no, it’s entirely unrelated. The Duskbloods is an open-world multiplayer action game.
What we know so far
Details about the game remain scarce, but the project is led by Hidetaka Miyazaki and appears to prioritize mobility as a key feature. The trailer even showcased what looked like a jetpack-style device allowing players to soar above vast landscapes. Though it’s too early to predict the gameplay specifics, the trailer featured a variety of monsters and breathtaking environments.
Elden Ring arrives on Switch 2
In addition to the excitement surrounding The Duskbloodsthe 2022 Game of the Year, Elden Ringwill also make its debut on Nintendo Switch 2 under the label “Tarnished Edition.” This edition includes the DLC Shadow of the Erdtreealong with new armor and features yet to be revealed. It is slated for release sometime in 2025.
