GTA fans are outraged after makers Rockstar announced that the next game’s release has been delayed again.
And to add further misery for players across the world, another big name title has also been pushed back.
GTA is one of the biggest gaming franchises around and gamers have been waiting since way back in 2013 for a new, main title in the series.
The much-anticipated sixth instalment will see players return to the Miami-inspired location of Vice City led by its first female protagonist, Lucia.
The game was originally meant to come out this autumn but was delayed until May 2026.
Now we’ll all have to a wait a little longer, until November 2026.

In an update, Rockstar Games said it was sorry to change the release date again.
“We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve,” the company said.
We want to thank you again for your patience and support.
“While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City.”
Gutted gamers have taken to social media to vent over the announcement, describing it as the “day we expected but didn’t want to happen”.
“I was 17 when GTA 5 came out, ill be 30 when this drops,” one user wrote on Reddit.
“I was 32 when 5 came out. I’ll be dead before this one comes out,” another joked.
But Thursday night was a double whammy of bad news for gamers as a highly anticipated Marvel game is also being held up.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra centres around Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s.
It was meant to be released in May but was delayed until early 2026.
Now makers Skydance Games have said it’ll be “beyond” early 2026.
“At Skydance Games, our goal is to deliver unforgettable, premium games that honor the characters and worlds we’re fortunate to work with,” the firm said.
“Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an ambitious project, and we are committed to ensuring it meets the level of quality that our team, players, and fans expect.

“To fully realise our vision for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, we’ve made the decision to shift our release window beyond early 2026.
“We’re grateful for the passion and support from the community and players around the world. The team is working hard to create something truly special, and we look forward to sharing more with you as development progresses.”
