GE Vernova has entered into an extensive multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS), offering its Asset Performance Management (APM) and CERius software through the AWS Cloud.
The agreement is intended to support the adoption of software that can transform the way energy companies manage their asset and emissions data as they move forward in the energy transition.
GE Vernova customers are already reaping the benefits of the expanded SCA with AWS.
A notable example is global energy company AES, which is using the new capabilities to improve its operations.
The expanded SCA is designed to enable energy companies to scale flexibly, using solutions that evolve with organizations and operationalize decarbonization strategies.
Additionally, the expanded SCA enables faster introduction and integration of more sustainable energy sources, while leveraging extensive industry expertise.
The partnership also modernizes and maximizes investments through cloud-based optimization, allowing energy companies to effectively manage the challenges of the energy transition.
Scott Sanderson, AWS director of business development, energy and utilities, said: “As the industry faces the challenges of network efficiency and decarbonization, our partnership with GE Vernova provides a unique opportunity to reimagine asset performance and emissions management. give.
“Together we enable customers to accelerate innovation, reduce their environmental footprint and maintain their financial performance.”
GE Vernova had previously announced SCAs with AWS to support electric utilities, manufacturers and other industrial companies.
Scott Reese, CEO of GE Vernova Electrification Software, said: “As the energy landscape continues to dynamically transform, the power of flexible cloud-based software is becoming increasingly important.
“The expansion of our strategic agreement with AWS represents our commitment to delivering digital solutions that can help energy organizations increase reliability, reduce costs and make measurable progress toward energy transition goals.”
Earlier this week, GE Vernova announced the opening of its new high-voltage direct current (HVDC) competence center in Berlin, Germany.
“GE Vernova Expands Partnership with AWS for Energy Transition” was originally created and published by Energy Monitor, a brand owned by GlobalData.
