Getac has announced the launch of its new rugged laptop, the S510AD. This device is designed for professionals in demanding environments such as public safety and defenseintegrating AMD Ryzen™ AI processing technology to deliver advanced edge AI performance. The new equipment joins Getac’s range of next-generation Copilot+ PC devices and enables frontline teams to simplify complex tasks and improve productivity in the field.
To power AI tasks, the S510AD is equipped with processors AMD Ryzen™ 5 8340 o 7 8350AMD Radeon™ 800M graphics, and an AMD XDNA 2 NPU (neural processing unit). This combination offers up to 50 NPU TOPS (trillions of operations per second), exceeding the 40 TOPS required for Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC certification. This hardware enables real-time video and data analysis in the field, secure offline AI, and intelligent automation. The laptop is complemented by up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage, and Windows Hello facial authentication as standard.
Designed for field operations
As a ruggedized device, the S510AD has the certifications MIL-STD-810H e IP53withstands drops of up to 0.9 meters and operates in a temperature range of -29 °C to +63 °C. Its 15.6-inch Full HD widescreen display offers 1000 nitsguaranteeing readability in full sunlight. Optionally, it includes a multi-touch screen that works with gloves or in the rain. For continued operations, it has an optional hot-swappable dual battery configuration. In terms of connectivity, the S510AD includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 as standard, with options available for 5G Sub-6, Dual SIM and dedicated GPS.
A highlight of the S510AD is its sustainable manufacturing. It is the latest Getac device to incorporate SORPLAS in its chassis, an environmentally friendly plastic. More than 45% of the chassis is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materialswhich helps reduce carbon footprint without compromising durability. The Getac S510AD will be available in November.
