GIMP 3.0.4 Brings More Bug Fixes

GIMP 3.0.4 released today with more bug fixes to this popular image editor as a free software alternative to the likes of Adobe Photoshop.

GIMP 3.0.4 is out today to ship more bug/regression fixes for this image editor after seeing its long-in-the-making GIMP 3.0 release earlier in the year. With today’s GIMP 3.0.4 release some of the highlights include:

– Crash fixes pertaining to state changes for the main monitor.

– Updated GEGL that should fix some crash issues.

– Various text-related fixes.

– A number of bug fixes to non-destructive filters.

– Fixes for building with the GCC 15 compiler.

– The GIMP AppImage no longer contains debug symbols to reduce the file size.

– Various other fixes.

In today’s GIMP 3.0.4 announcement they also tease around GIMP 3.2 development preparations with more features to come. The developers are feeling “GIMP 3.2 will be pretty awesome too, despite being much smaller than GIMP 3.0 was!“
