Global tablet shipments reached 147.6 million units in 2024, up 9.2% year-on-year, according to market research firm Canalys. Compared to 2023, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi saw the most significant growth, surging 73% to 9.22 million units and ranking fifth globally. The four others at the top were Apple (56.92 million units), Samsung (27.79 million), Huawei (10.74 million), and Lenovo (10.43 million). “The tablet market will see healthy growth in 2025, but US tariffs remain a potential risk that could impact the global demand, especially for high-end devices,” said Canalys analyst Kieren Jessop.
