Google has announced the appointment of his new President for EMEA: Debbie Weinsteinwhich arrives with the main mission of supporting the company in the deployment of its AI-assisted technologies among users, companies, partners and governments in the region.
In the region, Google has a workforce of 29,000 people, who work in 56 offices spread across 35 countries. Like Google DeepMind, which has a headquarters in London. These teams are dedicated to building products ranging from Android, Chrome and Cloud to YouTube and Search. Also to the management of the company’s infrastructure.
Weinstein joined Google in 2014, and has since held various leadership positions, both regionally and globally. Until now she was Vice President and General Manager of Google in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and previously was Vice President of Global Advertiser Solutions. Her first position at the company was General Manager of Google EMEA’s sales, strategy and operations teams.
Prior to joining Google, Weinstein was Vice President of Global Media at Unilever, with responsibility for global planning of the company’s digital marketing and communications strategies. I previously worked in the areas of sales, marketing, strategy and business development at different media companies, such as Viacom, MTV.com and Bolt.com. He also founded a baby food products company, Swingset Kitchens. He began his career in the investment banking sector, working in the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman Sachs. He has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
