Google Nest Cams, Nest Doorbell
The Nest Cam Indoor (3rd gen), Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd gen), and Nest Doorbell (3rd gen) now support 2K HDR video and offer a 166-degree field of view, making them more reliable for keeping an eye on what’s happening around your home. They also get AI-powered event detection. Users can now ask natural questions like, “What happened to the vase in the living room?” and get both a video clip and a summary powered by Gemini’s multimodal AI.
In terms of pricing, the Nest Cam Indoor (3rd gen) starts at $99.99 (approx. Rs 8,900), the Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd gen) is priced at $149.99 (approx. Rs 13,300), and the Nest Doorbell (3rd gen) costs $179.99 (approx. Rs 16,000). While the cameras will launch globally from October 1, the doorbell will initially be limited to the US and Canada.
All three Nest devices come with IP65 certification, encrypted video support, and a visible LED to indicate when recording is active. With Gemini integration, they don’t just record but also interpret – a push towards smarter, more intuitive home security.
