Google has revealed the Pixel 10a smartphone via a 15-second video teaser that showed-off the refined design and pre-order date, but had little to say about specs or pricing.
The video published by Made by Google on February 4 promised “a phone with more in store, in store soon” and revealed Google is putting up the phone for pre-order on February 18.
The brief video showcases the new (and previously leaked) flat camera system, replacing the raised bump we’ve seen on previous releases.
In terms of the paint job, we’re seeing a nice blue colouring too, but there’s likely to be others too. Rumours last month pointed to a Berry hue. That tip came from the same source who (accurately) predicted a mid-February launch and four colours. Obsidian, Berry, Fog and Lavender. The one we’re seeing in the teaser could be the lavender option. However, that’s about all we’re seeing from the design that’s different from last year’s offering.
Back in April 2025, our reviewer called the Pixel 9a the “perfect entry-level phone”, thanks to the sleek and premium design, bright screen, excellent camera and 30-hour battery life. The affordable access to the best of Google Gemini AI and seven years of updates from Google, makes it a great long-term purchase.
Our reviewer wrote: “Complete with a sleek redesign, upgraded main camera and Gemini built in – the Google Pixel 9a proves you don’t need to spend big bucks to get a premium phone experience.”
Considering there’s nothing about the upgraded specifications or software quirks, what’s left to showcase? Google will have to show its full hand on February 18.
Earlier reports have tipped the Google Tensor G4, but little else in the way of upgrades.
