GoveeLife has announced the Smart Nugget Ice Maker Pro at CES 2026, a new countertop ice maker designed to address common complaints about noise, capacity, and maintenance.
The futuristic-looking new model targets users who want consistent nugget ice at home without the noise and slow output often associated with existing machines.
GoveeLife positions the Smart Nugget Ice Maker Pro as a high-capacity, low-maintenance appliance aimed at everyday home use, as well as social settings such as parties and family gatherings.
At the core of the device is a redesigned internal system to deliver faster ice production while maintaining quieter operation than traditional nugget ice makers. The machine can start producing ice in as little as six minutes, using a 96W high-efficiency compressor, DC motor, and enlarged condenser and fan.
A stainless steel evaporator is designed to create denser, rounder chewable ice, while a thickened ice bucket holds up to 3.5 pounds of ice at a time. The bucket is engineered to keep up to 60% of ice frozen for six hours to reduce melt during periods of inactivity. When it does start to melt, the excess water can easily be drained out.
A dual-tank setup combines a 2.2-litre internal tank with a 4.9-litre detachable tank, enabling continuous production of up to 15.6 pounds of ice in a single session. GoveeLife says this capacity is sufficient for approximately 60 iced drinks, making it suitable for extended use without frequent refilling.
Keeping the noise down
These sorts of ice machines are often far too loud to use comfortably in the home, but one of the headline features here is AI NoiseGuard. The company says the AI model can identify freeze-related issues with over 90% accuracy, automatically triggering defrosting to prevent disruptive sounds.
Users can also manage the device through the Govee Home app (Available for Apple and Android), enabling scheduling, cleaning reminders, and low-water alerts, with support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
