The end of the year is always important for GTA 5 thanks to the traditional end of year update on GTA Online. The online service is clearly the main sales driver that allows the game to have such good longevity.
At the start of 2025, GTA 5 will once again be at the forefront thanks to the arrival of Next-Gen versions on PC. With all this, there is a good chance that the Rockstar Games title reaches 215 million or even 220 million before the release of GTA 6still planned for fall 2025.

The Red Dead license now exceeds the 91 million copies sold since the launch of Red Dead Revolverthe first game in the saga in June 2004.
