Rockstar Games is working on bringing its most ambitious game, in over a decade, for players to experience. The Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), set to launch globally next year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, will mark a new chapter in the iconic open-world franchise. Initially scheduled to release later this year, the game has been long delayed, and fans hope for an immersive experience after waiting for years.
GTA 6 Release Date and Time
GTA 6 is scheduled to release on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on May 26, 2026, at midnight ET (12:00 AM). Rockstar Games is expected to announce the GTA 6 PC release date at a later stage.
A recent leak had suggested the GTA 6 release may get delayed once again and be pushed to September next year.
GTA 6 Map
GTA 6 will be set in Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional version of Florida. The game will offer a refreshed look at the modern Vice City, with swamps, islands, beaches, and neon-lit downtowns. Rockstar has confirmed a few key locations that will welcome the players looking forward to exploring the expansive world. These include Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
GTA 6 Gameplay Features
Although we are still awaiting a gameplay footage, early leaks and trailers give us a glimpse of what to expect. We can look forward to the classic GTA chaos with new gameplay mechanics, heists, police chases, and added stealth moves like crawling, sneaking, and more.

GTA 6 Characters
GTA VI story will revolve around two main characters – Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. With the upcoming game, we will see a female protagonist for the first time in the GTA franchise. Other confirmed characters include Cal Hampton (Jason’s friend), Boobie Ike (local Vice City legend), Dre’Quan Priest (a musician-turned gangster), Bae-Lixe and Roxy aka Real Dimez (rappers/influencers), Raul Bautista (seasoned bank robber), and Brian Heder (a smuggler).
GTA 6 Price in India and USA (Expected)
GTA VI is expected to start at around Rs 5,999 in India for the standard version. The special edition could cost Rs 7,299, while a rumoured Collector’s Edition could launch at Rs 20,000+.
In the U.S., the AAA title could cost somewhere between $70-$100.
