AI company Hammer Missions has raised £1.4m in new funding to accelerate its AI technology development and strategic expansion into North America.
The firm, which provides a technology solution for the inspection of built structures, secured the funding from UK-based venture capital fund ACF Investors and angel investors such as GeoSLAM’s Graham Hunter and Atkins’ Martin Grant.
Hammer Missions’ AI software solution maps and inspects structures; generating tailored 3D inspection reports via automated drone flights. It can be used for applications such as roof and facade investigations, defect detection and thermal forensics.
Since being founded in 2019, Hammer Missions’ technology has been deployed in more than 20,000 drone flights and over 5,000 projects.
Hammer Missions’ chief executive Varun Sarwal emphasised how this fundraise aligns with the key goals of the business. “We built our drone software with simplicity at its core, to help industry stakeholders gather actionable data for any type of building structure,” he said.
“We are working with exceptional clients and partners and look forward to using the funding to expand internationally and improve our product offering to remain at the cutting edge of inspection technology in the built environment.”
