What is Modere?
Modere is a wellness brand which was founded in the US and sold health, beauty and personal care products.
The brand had over 3million customers worldwide.
Modere specialised in clean-label products with formulas that are free from typically “controversial ingredients” like parabens.
The company operated on a multi-level marketing model where members were encouraged to recruit others and sell products for comission.

Their range included household and personal care line selling everything from laundry detergent to body wash and supplements for health, including sleep and weight loss pills.
In September 2024, Modere launched one of its bestselling supplements – Curb.
The dietary supplement promoted appetite suppression and the body’s natural synthesis of GLP-1, a hormone that helps control blood sugar and hunger.
According to Price Plow’s report on Curb, the dietary supplement helped 28 beta testers lose more than 500 pounds in 90 days.
Modera’s president and executive chairman said about the product: “Our commitment to helping people live their healthiest, happiest lives is unwavering.
“We are confident that these formulas will help customers around the world achieve their overall wellness goals, while driving growth for Modere.”
Another popular product of Modere is its Liquid Collagen, which sold in over 30 countries globally.

Why did Modere close down?
On April 11, 2025, the company website shut down and released a statement about the closure.
The announcement read: “After 23 wonderful years of serving our cherished community, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors.
“We’re incredibly grateful for your support, trust, and loyalty over the years.
“Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or just discovered us recently, thank you for being a part of our story.
“From all of us at Modere — thank you. It’s been an honor.”
The exact reason of the closure has not been disclosed yet.
Many customers have been left devastated at the news, taking to social media to express their feelings.
One person commented: “So disappointed. Quite literally was about to process my subscription.”
Another one added: “Just saw the email about them closing operations and business effective immediately and that their funds are frozen. What happened???”
A third person said: “At least give us a sale on the current stock!”
The company’s social media accounts have been deactivated since.
