Aadhar Card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Your Aadhar Card can be used in several purposes including banking, healthcare, getting a loan, and many other important works. But many times fraudsters often misuse Aadhar Card to commit lots of scams.

How to check where your Aadhaar card has been used?

STEP1: To check if your Aadhar Card is misused somewhere or not you need to first visit the official UIDAI website at uidai.gov.in.

STEP2: Now the second step is to enter the 12-digit Aadhar number.

STEP3: Fill in the CAPTCHA code.

STEP4: Enter the four digit one-time password and then

STEP5: After logging in, go to the Authentication History section.

STEP6: There you’ll be able to see where and when your Aadhaar card was used.

Here’s How to report misuse of Aadhaar?

If you think your Aadhar Card is misused then you can immediately file a complaint. For this, you will have to calling UIDAI’s helpline number 1947. The Indian government also provide you facility to email them at [email protected]. This will help prevent further misuse of your Aadhaar.

How to keep your Aadhaar card secure?

To prevent misuse of Aadhaar, UIDAI offers a feature to lock your Aadhaar. Using this feature, your fingerprint and iris data will be secured. Once locked, no one will be able to access your Aadhaar-linked information, which prevents potential misuse.
