“I really like the look and quality of these fence panels,” one customer wrote.

Home Depot is selling a ‘stylish’ privacy screen for $130 – it’s perfect for nosy neighbors and elevating your backyard

“I am hoping the (sic) last a really long time.”

“Fence looks great,” the customer added.

But it’s not your only option when it comes to easy-to-install privacy fences.

FENCES UP

The Home Depot has also released a ‘no-dig’ privacy fence for $149. It’s designed to shield your home from the eyes of nosey neighbors.

It measures 4ft x 6ft.

The 4.5 out of 5 star fence received more than 200 user reviews via The Home Depot website.

Customers have applauded it for its easy installation and curb appeal factor.

Know your rights

Homeowners have several rights when it comes to fencing rights:

  • How high can you build a fence:
    • In many residential areas, front yard fences may be limited to 3-4 feet in height, while backyard fences could be allowed up to 6-8 feet.
    • To find out the specific restrictions for your property, consult your local government’s planning or building department.
    • Consult a professional surveyor to help determine your property lines accurately
  • What to do if your neighbor is building a fence too high:
    • First, try talking with your neighbor about the issue
    • Familiarize yourself with local fence height restrictions
    • If talking doesn’t work, you can report your neighbor’s violation to your local planning or building department
  • Who should pay for a fencing repair
    • The responsibility for maintenance and repairs may depend on local laws and previous agreements
    • If the fence is located directly on the property line and is considered a shared or “boundary fence,” the responsibilities may be different
    • Higher a property lawyer to help with any other issues

The Home Depot has also released a stylish privacy screen for $130.

The screen is suitable for decks, terraces and backyard. But boards aren’t included.

Customers have highlighted it for its easy set up.

You can slide boards and spacers directly in the integrated post rail.

The 5 out of 5 star screen received 106 user reviews on the store website.

“This fence kit has been amazing!!” one customer wrote.
