If you’re making YouTube videos and not repurposing them, you’re leaving content (and money) on the table. One long-form video has at least 5–10 monetizable moments hiding in it. And no—I’m not manually slicing and captioning every clip. I use Opus Clips to do it for me.

This tool is part of the reason I’ve built a $300K solo business without employees. I don’t need a content team. I need software that works smarter than I do.

What Is Opus Clips?

Opus Clips takes any long-form video—horizontal, vertical, doesn’t matter—and automatically cuts it into short-form content. We’re talking TikToks, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Amazon Influencer clips. It adds captions, zooms in on faces and gestures, finds hooks, and basically acts like an unpaid social media assistant who doesn’t sleep.

The result? Viral-ready clips in under 10 minutes.

My Process: From YouTube to Everywhere

Here’s exactly what I do:

  1. I film one long-form video for YouTube. Could be a haul, a tutorial, a rant, whatever I’m actually doing that day.
  2. I upload the full file to Opus Clips.
  3. The AI scans the entire video and identifies 5–10 highlight-worthy moments.
  4. It generates short videos in both vertical and horizontal format—captioned and zoomed, ready to go.
  5. I download and upload each one to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Amazon, and Pinterest Idea Pins.

That one YouTube video now fuels my entire content system.

Example: Turning a Shopping Haul Into a Week of Content

Let’s say I do a lifestyle video featuring 10 Amazon products.

Opus Clips will find the moment where I talk about the mug. It’ll clip it, zoom in, add captions, and make it vertical. Then it does the same for the hoodie. Then the skincare. Then the microphone.

Each product becomes a standalone short-form video. And each one gets its own affiliate link.

That’s 10 videos. 10 chances to earn. From one original piece of content.

Why I Don’t Use an Editor

I’ve worked with video editors. I’ve spent the money. I’ve waited 4 days for turnaround time. And honestly? I don’t have the patience for it anymore.

Opus Clips is faster, cheaper, and I don’t have to explain anything. I drop in a file, it delivers clips. I post and get paid.

If you’re a creator who values speed, freedom, and control—this is the tool.

How Much It Costs (And Why It’s Worth It)

Opus runs on a credit system. There’s a monthly plan that gives you a set number of credits, and once you burn through those, you can top up as needed.

If you’re not creating long and short content, it’s probably overkill. But if you’re batching content like I do—it’s an absolute essential.

Final Thoughts

Content creators keep asking me how I do so much without a team. This is how. I use tools like Opus Clips to turn one video into a full-blown content machine. No burnout. No overwhelm. Just one upload, 10x the impact.
