“Severance”, “Hacks”, “Adolescence”, “The Bear” — a look through the 77th Emmy Awards nominees only serves as a reminder what a golden era the small screen continues to enjoy. To see which shows take home the little shiny statues, read on for the information you need to watch an Emmy Awards 2025 stream from anywhere with a VPN.

Emmy Awards 2025 date, time, TV channels, free stream

The 2025 Emmy Awards live stream takes place on Sunday, September 14.
► Time: 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT / 1 a.m. BST (Mon.) / 10 a.m. AEST (Mon.)
• U.S. — CBS (via Fubo (FREE trial) / Paramount Plus
• CAN — CTV
• AUS — Foxtel Now / Binge
• Watch anywhere — try NordVPN 100% risk-free

After its critically acclaimed season 2, “Severance” co-leads this year’s Primetime Emmy nominations with “The White Lotus” on 10 apiece. Throw in other heavy hitters like “Andor”, “The Last of Us” and “Slow Horses” and you have an extremely strong set of contenders for Outstanding Drama Series. While “Adolescence” will do battle with “Black Mirror” and “The Penguin” in the Limited Series category.

Producing the laughs this year have been the likes of “Hacks”, “Abbott Elementary”, “Only Murders in the Building” and “The Studio”, all of which are nominated multiple times over. And talking of comedy, this year’s ceremony at L.A.’s Peacock Theater will be presented by the phenomenally popular stand-up Nate Bargatze.

Any ceremony pitting Cate Blanchett (for “Disclaimer”) against Michelle Williams (“Dying for Sex”) and Bowen Yang (“Saturday Night Live”) versus Harrison Ford (“Shrinking”) has to be worth a watch. So keep reading to discover where to watch Emmy Awards 2025 streams no matter where in the world you are — and potentially for free!

CBS has the rights to show live coverage from the 77th Emmy Awards. So if you already get CBS on your cable plan or TV antenna, then tune in from 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sunday.

If you’re a cord cutter, Fubo is a good cable-alternative option, with plans starting from $84.99/month for 200+ channels. Plus, if you haven’t used it before, you can take advantage of the free Fubo trial.

Sunday’s events will also be shown on CBS’s Paramount Plus streaming service. You’ll need the Paramount Plus Premium plan to watch live, which costs $12.99/month after its 7-day free Paramount Plus trial. Or, if you don’t mind watching on catch up the day after, you can opt for the more affordable Essential tier for $7.99/month (again with a free one-week trial).

Or take advantage of the service’s limited time offer on its annual plans; currently just $59 for Premium or $29 for Essential.

If you’re currently outside of the U.S. but have one of these subscriptions, you can still watch the Emmy Awards 2025 live stream on your usual service by using a VPN.

How to watch Emmy Awards 2025 from anywhere

Away from home at the moment and blocked from watching the Emmy Awards on your usual subscription?

You can still watch the ceremony live thanks to the wonders of a VPN (Virtual Private Network). The software allows your devices to appear to be back in your home country regardless of where in the world you are, making it ideal for viewers away on vacation or on business. Our favorite is NordVPN. It’s the best on the market:

CTV has the rights to show the 2025 Emmys in Canada.

That means cable subscribers will be able to watch the ceremony live at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on TV, at CTV.ca and on the CTV mobile app — all on Sunday, September 14.

Not in Canada at the moment? Signing up to NordVPN will help you access your streaming service while overseas.

Can I watch Emmy Awards 2025 in the U.K?

It’s bad news for Brits, as it doesn’t look like any U.K. channels are broadcasting the Emmy Awards 2025 — not even on Paramount Plus or, as it has been in the past, on Sky TV.

If you’re traveling to the U.K. and wish to watch your domestic stream of the 2025 Emmy Awards, then you can use a VPN to do exactly that and avoid geo-restrictions.

The 77th Emmy Awards will go out live on Foxtel’s Arena channel at 10 a.m. AEST on the morning of Monday, September 15, before being repeated later in the day at 7:30 p.m.

The ceremony will also be streamed on the Binge platform the following day. Binge offers a free 7-day trial to check out the streaming service. After that, the Basic plan costs AU$10/month, with more pricey options if you want to ditch ads and stream on more than one device.

Away from Australia? You’ll need to download NordVPN or another high quality alternative to stream the Emmy Awards as though you were back at home.
