“Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series” lands on Apple TV+ on March 28
A new Apple TV documentary series delving into the 2024 Dodgers-Yankees World Series rolls out in time for the fourth season of ‘Friday Night Baseball’ to return to Apple TV+.
Thursday marked Opening Day of the 2025 Major League Baseball season, and, depending on when you consider the official start of the MLB, its 150th season.* To celebrate, fans can watch a brand new documentary focused around the 2024 World Series, before tuning in to the Apple TV+ Friday Night Baseball season premiere.
“Experience the battle of juggernauts like never before as the Yankees and Dodgers revive MLB’s most iconic playoff rivalry,” the Apple TV+ series landing page reads. “With intimate access to superstar players, managers, and their families, witness the sacrifices it takes to claim baseball’s throne.”
All three episodes of “Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series” are already available to watch. And, according to those who have watched it, it distills all the best parts of the 2024 World Series into a high-energy highlight reel that should, ideally, delight — and maybe even torture — baseball fans.
Then, after you’ve finished reliving the glory of last season, you can tune into “Friday Night Baseball” to watch some of the first games of the 2025 season. Friday will see the Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays at 7:00 p.m. ET and the New York Mets at Houston Astros at 8:00 p.m. ET.
“Friday Night Baseball” will air in 60 countries, with games taking place over 25 weeks. Notable matchups in the first half of the season include a Yankees-Dodgers World Series rematch and the Rangers versus Astros.
The games will be produced by MLB’s Emmy Award-winning production team, working with Apple’s live sports team, with state-of-the-art cameras capturing the action. Immersive sound will be recorded in 5.1 with Spatial Audio, with player and field-level mics to immerse viewers in the stadium atmosphere.
Apple TV+ subscribers can watch “Friday Night Baseball” and “Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series” as part of their Apple TV+ subscription. Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month but is also available as part of the Apple One subscription plan.
*Note: The National League was formed in 1876, while the American League was formed in 1901. The National Agreement was signed in 1903. This makes dating the MLB somewhat tricky, depending on who you talk to.
