The Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz live streams from the US Open men’s final 2025 will be as good a display of tennis excellence as you’re likely to find. The world’s top two players will contest their third grand slam final of the year, with the 2025 record standing a one win each – with the world number one ranking also on the line. It doesn’t get much better.

You can watch Sinner vs Alcaraz live streams from anywhere with a VPN and potentially for free.

Sinner vs Alcaraz live streams: TV schedule, dates

The Sinner vs Alcaraz live streams are on Sunday, September 7.
► Daily start time: 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT / 7 p.m. BST / 4 a.m. AEST (Mon)
• FREE STREAMS — ABC.com (U.S.) / 9Now (Australia)
• U.S. — ABC and ESPN via Sling TV / ESPN Select
• Watch anywhere — Try NordVPN 100% risk free

Sinner dropped his first set of the tournament in beating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in his semifinal on Friday. In doing so, the Italian top seed and world number one joined Rod Laver, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic as the only men in the open era to have reach all four grand slam finals in the same season. The victory was also his 27th in a row in hard-court grand slam matches, equaling Djokovic’s record; one more win and the record is his outright. Remember, defending champion Sinner is just 24 and he got the win in the Wimbledon final over Alcaraz.

Still only 22 himself, Alcaraz has been no less impressive in reaching a second US Open final, the site of his first major win back in 2022. The Spaniard is yet to drop a set en route to the Flushing Meadows showpiece and his bludgeoning groundstrokes proved more than even 24-time major grand slam champion Djokovic could handle in their 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 semifinal. He also holds a 9-5 career advantage over Sinner, including victory in six of their past seven meetings.

While Sinner won at SW19, Alcaraz got the title at Roland Garros and took the title over an ill Italian in the Cincinnati Open final. This is going to be an epic and you absolutely cannot miss it.

Check out all of the TV and streaming details below to find out how to watch Sinner vs Alcaraz in the US Open 2025 men’s final tennis from anywhere, starting with free options.

How to watch Sinner vs Alcaraz live streams for FREE in 2025

While US Open tennis, including Sinner vs Alcaraz, is generally on paid-for TV services around the world, tennis fans in Australia get to watch the best action absolutely free. That’s because Channel 9 and its respective FREE streaming service 9Now have rights to show live matches.

Plus, ABC and ABC.com will also host 2025 US Open live streams in the U.S. during three days of the championship. Specifically, it has action from the first day, middle Sunday and, best of all, the Sinner vs Alcaraz men’s singles final.

What if you’re usually based in Australia or U.S. but aren’t at home during the 2025 US Open? Maybe you’re on holiday and don’t want to spend money on a new TV service in another country, when you’d usually be able to watch for free at home?

Don’t worry — you can watch it via a VPN instead. We’ll show you how to do that below…

Watch Sinner vs Alcaraz live streams from anywhere

Away from home at the moment and blocked from watching the tennis on your usual subscription?

You can still watch US Open live streams thanks to the wonders of a VPN (Virtual Private Network). The software allows your devices to appear to be back in your home country regardless of where in the world you are, making it ideal for viewers away on vacation or on business. Our favorite is NordVPN — we explain why in our NordVPN review.

Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we’ve said, NordVPN is our favorite.

2. Choose the location you wish to connect to in the VPN app. For instance, if you’re overseas and want to view your usual U.S. service, you’d select a U.S.-based server from the list.

3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Head to ABC.com or another website and stream the tennis live.

If you’ve already cut the cord and don’t have a cable package, you can get ESPN channels through an OTT cable TV alternative.

Our pick is Sling TV, which includes ESPN channels with its Orange plan. You can get access for as little as $4.99/day, $14.99/week or $45.99 for a whole month, which you can cancel any time.

Alternatively, there’s the network’s recently rebranded streaming service ESPN Select, which costs from $11.99/month and will carry extensive coverage around the courts at Flushing Meadows.
