Taking place at Chicago’s United Center, WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 has the job of helping shape the patented Road to WrestleMania 42.
We’ve got CM Punk returning to his home town to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. While Punk has a ‘Mania 42 match with Roman Reigns booked in, that could all change should the Prince get the better of the Second City Saint. And with CM Punk having picked up a win over Balor in Belfast, Northern Ireland last month, the Judgment Day man is out for some sweet revenge as he looks to win a first World Title since his one-day reign as the Universal Champion all the way back in 2016.
Also sure to get a white-hot reception is AJ Lee, who’s called Chicago home for years. She has a chance to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Championship when she faces Becky Lynch at WWE Elimination Chamber. Having made her shock return last year, Lee has managed to outdo Becky at Wrestlepalooza and Survivor Series: WarGames, and likewise played a role in the Man initially losing that Intercontinental Title to Maxxine Dupri back in November. Should AJ Lee get one over on Becky Lynch again at Elimination Chamber, that means she’ll be walking out of the United Center as the new IC Champ.
Of course, WWE Elimination Chamber is famed for its titular bouts, with the winners of these two matches earning themselves a spot at WrestleMania 42, with shots on the line for Jade Cargill’s WWE Women’s Title and Drew McIntyre’s WWE Title.
In the women’s Elimination Chamber contest, it’s Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Kiana James and Raquel Rodriguez going at it, all aiming to get a crack at Cargill and the WWE Women’s Championship at the Showcase of the Immortals. In terms of favorites, Stratton and Ripley seem to be leading the odds right now, but don’t rule out a possible win for Alexa.
Over in the men’s Chamber, we have Randy Orton, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, Cody Rhodes, Trick Williams and Jey Uso, all lining up to try and get to Drew McIntyre and the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42. While Orton and Rhodes seem the most likely winners, there could be some sort of shenanigans here, as recent rumors suggest McIntyre may end up defending his belt in a multi-man match by the time ‘Mania rolls around.
