Huawei announced today that the launch event for its Pura 80 smartphone series, alongside a lineup of other new products, will take place on June 11. The Pura 80 series includes three models: Standard, Pro, and Ultra. The Ultra model, positioned as a “flagship of avant-garde imaging aesthetics,” is expected to feature a 1-inch sensor with variable aperture, according to tech blogger Digital Chat Station. All Pura 80 models will be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chip and run on HarmonyOS 5, the latest version of its self-developed operating system. The event will also debut the Huawei WATCH 5, the first smartwatch to feature HarmonyOS 5 and support AI-driven health monitoring. [Huawei Weibo, in Chinese]
