SKY Sports fans are in for a temporary switch on one of the broadcaster’s popular channels this winter.
The move comes as the network adjusts its schedule to cover a major festive tournament.
From 10 December 2025 until 5 January 2026, Sky Sports F1 (Channel 407) will be temporarily rebranded as Sky Sports Darts.
The change will provide dedicated coverage of the PDC World Darts Championship, the festive season’s biggest tournament.
During this period, existing Sky Sports F1 customers will automatically have access to the darts coverage at no extra cost.
Formula 1 on-demand content will remain available even while the live channel focuses on darts.

In an email shared by the Mirror Online, Sky wrote: “We are reaching out to let you know about a special, temporary change to Sky Sports that will bring you even more exciting live sports action this festive season.
“From 10 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, Sky Sports F1 is changing to Sky Sports Darts on channel 407, giving you the chance to catch all the action of the PDC World Darts Championship live.
“And come 6 January, channel 407 will seamlessly return to Sky Sports F1, ready for the upcoming season.”
Earlier this week, EFL fans were fuming at Sky Sports after they were unable to watch their team in action due to the livestream crashing.
Sky Sports+ broadcasts every EFL match outside the 3 pm blackout window, but streams for several fixtures were unavailable throughout Tuesday evening.
Football fans reported that streams crashed during Southhampton vs West Brom, Swansea vs Portsmouth, and Charlton vs Middlesbrough.
Additional issues were reported for Northampton vs Huddersfield, Exeter City vs AFC Wimbledon, Swindon Town vs Cheltenham Town, Blackburn Rovers vs Oxford United, and Watford vs Sheffield Wednesday.
EFL supporters took to social media in force to express their frustrations over the outages.
A Cheltenham supporter tweeted: “Cheers Sky… Your coverage on Sky Sports+ is a joke.
“Missed a wonder strike apparently…”
A Oxford fan shared: “@SkySports sort it out, what are we paying for? Not a premium service.”
One comment read: “Shocking this from SkySports.
“@SkySports we pay an absolute fortune and all the feeds are down on the “plus” games.”
Another fan wrote: “Absolutely horrendous service again from Sky Sports+.
“Astounding that this is under a paid service, disgraceful.”
The supporter added: “Sky Sports Plus down again.
“When are you going to start giving refunds?
“No wonder so many people get dodgy fire sticks.”
