Hyundai is finally bringing the new Hyundai Creta Electric to the Indian market. And it is going to be the most affordable lineup and the same will be launched in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. In a recent development, the Korean Carmaker has pulled off the curtains from the features, interiors, and exteriors of the upcoming EV. For your information, the car will be available in four different variants – Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence.
Hyundai Create Electric Design, features, and pricing
Starting with the overall look of the car, it looks pretty identical to the ICE-powered Creta. The vehicles bring LED DRLs, connected LED tail lights, and vertically stacked dual-barrel LED headlights. Keeping that aside, we can also spot a few stark differences between the ICE variant and the EV as well. The fascia is like the Creta N Line with a blanked-off grille accompanied by gloss black cubical elements between the headlights.
The charging port of the EV is situated in the middle beneath the Hyundai logo. The lower grille of the Hyundai Creta Electric consists of four retractable air vents to complement the aerodynamics along with cooling the battery and motor.
It also has 17-inch alloy wheels that are aerodynamically designed. Talking about the rear design of the vehicle, it brings tail lights that seem like the traditional Creta model. However, the electric model sports a black trim under the boot gate coupled with a redesigned bumper and pixel-like elements along with a faux silver skid plate.
As for the interiors, the Hyundai Creta Electric comes with a dual-tone interior. It also comprises a 3-spoke steering wheel combined with a drive selector level. The lower center console of the EV features tweaked controls for the electric version.
The EV will get dual digital display panels along with other features like drive modes, panoramic sunroof, and vehicle-to-load (V2L). Coming to the safety department, the EV ticks most of the boxes with the inclusion of a 360-degree camera, six airbags, Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.
It will have two battery options for the masses – a base 42kWh pack with an ARAI-rated range of 390km and a high-end 51.4kWh pack with a range of 473km. It has also been mentioned that the EV will get fueled from 10 to 80% in 58 minutes with a fast-paced DC charger. Expectations are that the vehicle will be priced in India somewhere around Rs 20,00,000 (ex-showroom price).
