I didn’t think the new iPad would be this cheap just two months after release

Even though the iPad 11 only hit store shelves just under two months ago, it’s already down to a tasty price.

I’ve made it clear through countless deals articles and op-eds that I believe, out of all the options available, it’s the entry-level iPad range that offers the best value for most people. They work well as portable all-in-one devices for productivity and entertainment, and thanks to this latest deal, they’re now cheaper than ever.

Head on over to Amazon right now and you can bag the iPad 11 for just $299, saving you a slick $50 on its original $349 asking price. With that additional saving, you could put that money towards buying several apps and games to help you make the most out of your new tablet.

Unless you’re set on using an iPad for animation or high-end video editing, the iPad 11 can get the job done just fine, and it’s been made even more of a bargain thanks to this $50 price cut.

I’ve been using the previous-gen iPad 10 for ages now, and rarely do I ever leave the house without it. Whether I need to quickly write up an article, send a few emails or even just put together a thumbnail in Canva, I can do it all on this one device that is far more portable than a traditional laptop.

Plus, because of Apple’s seamless ecosystem, I can use my iPhone as a hotspot and then surf the web via my iPad without ever needing to connect to public Wi-Fi (which I recommend avoiding unless you’ve got a VPN available).

You can get all of this and more on the iPad 11, as it continues that value proposition but with a few noticeable improvements. For starters, the iPad 11 now features the faster A16 chipset (the same one found within the iPhone 15), which should allow for smoother multitasking and day to day use.

The one caveat here is that the A16 chipset isn’t compatible with Apple Intelligence, so you won’t have access to Apple’s current crop of artificial intelligence features, nor any of the upcoming ones expected to drop later in the year. Still, given the hit-and-miss nature of Apple Intelligence in its current form, this probably isn’t a dealbreaker for most.

There is a nice bump in the storage capacity however. Unlike the iPad 10, the iPad 11 doesn’t start with a 64GB option, instead going for 128GB which is far more in line with what you’d expect in 2025.

For all that the iPad 11 brings to the table, $299 is a bargain. You can edit videos on this thing, stream triple-A games over the web, indulge in some digital drawing and a lot more.
