This news ought to grab your attention — especially if you have someone in your house who’s prone to leave objects lying around. A year after teasing it at CES, Dreame is launching its own robot vacuum with an extendable arm that can be used not only to pick up objects like shoes and clothing, but also to clean in harder-to reach areas. Plus, it’s strong enough that it could potentially bring you a bottle of your favorite beverage.

The Dreame Cyber 10 Ultra, as this new robot vacuum is called, has a multi-jointed arm located under a cover in the top of the vacuum. When it encounters an object, such as footwear, it can be programmed to pick it up and move it to a specified location. The company teased the robot vacuum back at IFA 2025, but brought it out to give us a closer look at CES 2026.

On top of that, the Cyber 10 Ultra’s base station comes with a set of three cleaning tools (including a baseboard brush and a vacuum nozzle) that the vacuum can pick up in its claw and sweep along crevices that it couldn’t otherwise reach.

The Cyber 10 Ultra’s arm can lift objects as heavy as 500 grams (about 17 ounces), and extend about 33 cm (a little less than 13 inches). At the demo I saw at CES 2026, the robot vacuum was simply tasked with picking up soft blue balls from one area, and transporting them to another.

Apart from its arm, the Cyber 10 Ultra also has a vacuum with 30,000Pa of suction power, and a self-cleaning mop that heats water to 212º F to help kill any bacteria and germs. It can also cross thresholds of up to 1.6 inches.

It’s fairly similar to the Roborock Saros Z70 that was released last year, but the Cyber 10 Ultra’s arm looks a bit beefier, and according to the company, can lift more weight — 500 grams, compared to 300 for the Z70. That being said, it remains to be seen how practical it will be when it actually arrives in consumers’ homes.

An official release date and price has yet to be announced, but the company is aiming for late summer, with a price of around $2,000. Until then, my kid is going to have to pick up after herself.
