I tried the sleep earbuds featured at CES

TL;DR: Save 25% on the SleepEEZ noise-blocking sleep earbuds that were featured at this year’s CES.

My search for the perfect sleep solution has been long and frustrating. I’m a light sleeper, so something that blocks out my partner’s snoring is essential. But I also need some entertainment to fall asleep. While earplugs work for the snoring, I can’t hear the TV. So, I tried AirPods but woke up with sore ears.

I was so excited to see earbuds designed for sleeping announced at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. Well, I wasn’t there, but I read about them online. Even better, they’re only $25.99 on the Mashable Shop, so I could actually afford to give them a try (reg. $34.99).

Trying sleep headphones for the first time

The first thing I noticed was that these would be comfortable earbuds, even though I’m a side sleeper. Unlike my AirPods that stick far out, the SleepEEZ earbuds can’t even be seen when looking at my side profile — and I can’t feel them when lying on my pillow.

They have -20dB noise-blocking, which is about the same as my favorite silicone putty earplugs — and way better than my AirPods Pros. I can faintly hear my partner snoring, which is actually good because I actually do want to be able to hear, like if our fire alarm goes off.

Then, I set a sleep timer for an hour. This was another issue with my AirPods — when I finally got to sleep, I awoke later to a TikTok video blasting in my ears.

Finally, I chose an episode of my favorite show and drifted off to sleep. The next morning, I didn’t have sore ears, and I wasn’t kept awake by any pesky snoring. I say they’re worth a try, especially at this price point.
