iBasso has unveiled the DX340, a new flagship digital audio player that combines a discrete 1-bit DAC architecture, modular amplification and a dual operating system in a premium stainless steel and titanium chassis.
The DX340 targets the high-end portable audio segment, where manufacturers increasingly blur the line between pocket-sized players and full desktop systems by integrating advanced digital processing and high output power.
iBasso builds the player around a discrete 1-bit DAC configuration managed by its FPGA Master 3.0 platform, a design approach intended to reduce distortion and improve timing precision compared to conventional integrated DAC chipsets.
The player supports high-resolution audio formats, including PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512, aligning it with current reference-grade specifications for portable digital audio players.
Dual operating systems and modular amplification
The DX340 offers both Mango OS for a dedicated audio-focused playback path and a full Android 13 environment for streaming apps and wireless services, giving users a choice between closed and open ecosystems.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor works alongside 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with microSD expansion up to 2TB, positioning the device closer to a compact smart device than a traditional music player.
The unit features a 6.0-inch 1080 × 2160 AMOLED display, providing a large interface for navigation and playback control compared to smaller-screen competitors in the audiophile segment.
iBasso equips the DX340 with a modular amplifier system, shipping it with the new AMP15 card while maintaining compatibility with other interchangeable modules including the AMP1X series and AMP12 through AMP14.
The standard AMP15 module delivers up to 2150mW plus 2150mW at 32 ohms, a power output that allows the player to drive both sensitive in-ear monitors and demanding full-size headphones.
Connectivity options include balanced and single-ended outputs, coaxial output, USB OTG functionality, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi, enabling the DX340 to function as a portable source, wireless streamer or USB DAC.

The DX340 uses a dual-battery architecture that powers digital and analogue sections separately, an approach designed to isolate interference and maintain stable amplifier performance.
iBasso rates battery life at up to 11 hours of continuous playback, with support for fast charging and replaceable battery units built into the design.
The player weighs 486g and uses a stainless steel chassis as standard, while a limited CNC-milled titanium edition introduces a lighter but more premium finish.
The DX340 is available in the UK at £1499, with the limited titanium version priced at £1899, while US pricing starts at $1699 for the standard model.
