As Mashable’s tech editor, I’ve been covering Prime Day and Black Friday events since 2019. So, instead of wading through hundreds of the best Prime Day tech deals to find the diamonds in the rough, let me do the deal hunting for you. I am a professional, after all.

For example, I can tell you that even though the $399 AirPods Max headphones deal is no longer available at Amazon, you can still grab this price at Walmart.

This year’s top Prime Day deals on gadgets include big savings on flagship products from Apple, Amazon, Bose, Dyson, Samsung, and Sony. You’ll also find discounts on charging accessories, under-the-radar brands, and smart home tech of all kinds. I’ve selected the best of the best for this shopping guide, and I’ll be updating it daily as new deals go online.

Remember: Unlike Prime Days gone by, this year’s shop-a-thon takes place over four days, from July 8 to 11. Amazon will also be releasing new deals as the event unfolds, so keep checking back for the latest and best Prime Day deals of the moment.

The best Prime Day TV deal: Samsung The Frame QLED Smart TV

Why we like it

As a tech editor, friends and family sometimes ask me what the best TV is, and my answer is always the same: The Frame. Now, I have some caveats. If you’re a movie lover, sports fan, avid binge watcher, and especially if you’re all of the above, then I’d recommend a premium OLED TV (it’s a toss-up between the 65-inch version of the Samsung S95F or the LG C5 OLED TVs). However, The Frame truly is something special. It’s not just the unique matte, anti-glare display. It’s not just the Samsung art gallery, which lets you choose from thousands of classic and modern works of art to display on your TV. And it’s not just the ultra-thin design. The combination of all these innovations makes The Frame more than the sum of its parts. When it’s not in use, this cult-favorite art TV actually enhances your home decor, instead of becoming a design dead zone in the middle of your living room.

When looking for the top Prime Day tech deals, The Frame was a no-brainer. For Prime Day, you can get the newest version of the 55-inch The Frame TV for $200 less than usual. (I recommend getting this TV in the 50- or 55-inch size.) At Amazon, the 2025 model is actually priced lower than the 2024 version, as of this writing.

Pro tip: To save even more, check out The Frame 2024 model at Best Buy and Samsung, where it’s on sale for just $897.

The best Prime Day power bank deal: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station

Why we like it

I’ve been recommending Jackery power stations to my friends since before the pandemic. In recent years, the excellent Jackery Explorer series has gotten an upgrade in the v2 generation, and these power banks have only gotten better. These power stations are extremely useful tools for festivals, camping, and tailgates, but they can also be hugely helpful in an emergency situation. During a power blackout, your (fully charged) Jackery can power up laptops, cell phones, lights, and small appliances, keeping you securely on the grid. Bundle this station with a solar panel, and you’ll never be without a charge.

The best Amazon device deal: Kindle Paperwhite

Why we like it

This is the exact Kindle I use, and I’m not just a casual book lover. I collect rare paperbacks and first-edition books, so when I say I’m a bibliophile, I’ve really earned that title. Now, technically, you can buy the Kindle Paperwhite for just $124.99 during Prime Day, but I actually recommend springing for the version without lockscreen ads, which is also on sale. Yes, you’ll have to pay a bit more, but it’s 100 percent worth it, trust me. Otherwise, your lockscreen will be filled with annoying advertisements for romance and fantasy books no one wants to read.

The best Prime Day memory deal: SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD

Why we like it

Portable hard drives are far from the sexiest Prime Day deal, but they’re the savvy shopper’s best friend during this event. Prime Day is the time of year when I always stock up on extra MicroSD cards and portable hard drives, and this is actually the exact drive you’ll find in my backpack. I like SanDisk’s drive for its ease of use and compact size, and I find 2TB is generally enough space for temporarily storing photos and videos for work. Whether you need a MicroSD Express for your Switch 2 or a stack of new hard drives for work, this is your chance to stock up.

The best Prime Day laptop deal: Apple M4 MacBook Air

Why we like it

Here at Mashable, we’ve been covering this deal for weeks. Yes, that means this isn’t a Prime Day exclusive, but if you’re looking for the best possible deal on a MacBook, this one’s hard to pass up. Today, you can grab the newest MacBook Air, equipped with the M4 chip, in all four colorways for just $849. For students, professionals, and Apple lovers, that’s an incredibly attractive offer, especially considering this laptop was just released a few months ago. As we said in our review, it’s “a really good deal” — and that was before it went on sale.

The best Prime Day vacuum deal: iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot Vacuum & Mop

Why we like it

The Roomba Plus 405 is a self-emptying hybrid robot vacuum and mop. But of all the Prime Day robot vacuum deals, what makes this one notable? You just can’t find self-washing and self-drying mopping pads in a robot vacuum under $500. Even with tons of other Roomba vacuum deals, that makes this a standout for Prime Day 2025.

The best Prime Day tablet deal: Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Tablet

Why we like it

We were excited when Samsung’s A9+ tablet went on sale for $199, and for Prime Day 2025, you can pick one up for just $139.99. Now, you can definitely find more souped-up tablets on sale during Prime Day, but personally, I don’t want a tablet that can double as a laptop. I want a tablet I can use for binge-watching TV in bed or playing The Sims on the couch. And this everyday Android tablet fits the bill perfectly. It’s got a crisp 11-inch display you can use for browsing, gaming, and streaming, but not so much power that you’ll be tempted to get some work done.

The best Prime Day earbuds deal: Apple AirPods Pro 2

Why we like it

For Prime Day, we were hoping to see the AirPods Pro 2 drop back down to their record-low sale price of $159, and Amazon did not disappoint. We’re hoping to see AirPods Pro 3 later this year, but if you need new earbuds and you need them now, you won’t find these famous pods at a better price. And if they’re still a bit outside your price range, we’ve got plenty more Prime Day deals on headphones and earbuds to shop.

The best Prime Day deal on headphones: Apple AirPods Max headphones

Why we like it

Eagle-eyed Mashable readers will know that these iconic over-ears are not included in our guide to the best headphones. So, why are they included here? We find the $549 retail price too hard to justify, especially since you can get newer noise-cancelling headphones from Sony and Bose for a lot less. However, with a Prime Day discount to $399, these headphones suddenly look a lot more attractive. Amazon’s supply of $399 AirPods Max headphones appears to be sold out as of this writing, but you can still shop this deal at Walmart. These sleek headphones have an undeniable cool factor, and they double as fashion accessories in addition to stellar headphones. If you’ve always had your heart set on Apple’s headphones, then Prime Day is the only time we’d actually recommend buying them.

The best Prime Day Pixel deal: Google Pixel 9 Pro

Why we like it

If you’ve been holding out for Prime Day to buy a new phone, then your patience is about to be rewarded. For Prime members, the premier Pixel 9 Pro is discounted to $749, a 25% discount from the full retail price. This unlocked Android smartphone will work with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and all major carriers. It features an ultra-powerful 20x zoom camera, an impressive battery life, and a full suite of AI features. If you want to be able to access all your favorite Google Apps, as well as new AI tools like Gemini and Veo 3 in an instant, then this is the smartphone you need.

The best Prime Day smartphone deal: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra AI Smartphone

Why we like it

Spoiler alert: We fully expect to see new Samsung phones announced at the July 9 Samsung Unpacked event. So, while you may find Prime Day deals on Samsung’s foldable phones, we highly recommend waiting a couple more days. However, we are not expecting a replacement for the flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra flagship phone anytime soon, making Prime Day the perfect time to buy the undisputed queen of Android phones. The best Prime Day tech deals include a cool 27% discount on the Ultra, letting you pick up this AI smartphone for under $1,000.

The best Prime Day cooling fan deal: Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10

Why we like it

I do not handle the heat well, and the recent heat waves have been killing me. If you’re also an excessive sweater — or if you’re suffering from allergies and could use an air quality boost — then you’ll love Dyson’s signature cooling fan. Yes, it’s pricey, but that’s why you should wait for an event like Prime Day to purchase one for yourself. Not only does this fan cool off the entire room, but it cleans the air as it does, offering a pretty killer two-for-one value.

Honorable Mention: 8BitDo Retro 18 Mechanical Numpad and calculator

Why we like it

I can’t quite explain why I like this little calculator so much. There are thousands more Prime Day tech deals you could shop instead. But as someone who needs a desktop calculator for his daily work, I just love the retro look and feel of this little gadget. Grab this fun piece of retro-tech while it’s on sale.

Honorable Mention: Shark PowerDetect Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop

Why we like it

I’ve been impressed by Shark’s flagship robot vacuum ever since I saw it at a launch event last year. While Shark may not be as “sexy” as other robot vacuum brands, the brand has consistently delivered fantastic cleaning machines. In fact, I’d even say that Shark is by far the most underrated robot vacuum brand. Not only does this hybrid robot vacuum and mop come with all the bells and whistles you’d get in $1,200 competitors, but it also doubles down on Shark’s signature feature: spot cleaning. That may seem like an obvious feature to include in a robovac, and it is. (Are you listening, Roborock?) Even without the Prime Day discount, the Power Detect vacuum and mop offers one of the best feature sets for the money.

Honorable Mention: Samsung

Walmart, Best Buy, and Target provide worthy alternatives to Prime Day

If you’ve had your eye on something for Prime Day only to discover it’s sold out, then you other options. Walmart, Best Buy, and Target have all launched sales to compete with Prime Day, and perhaps even provide an alternative for deal hunters avoiding the Bezos-led shopping behemoth.

Walmart’s sale is now live, featuring deals up to 50% off across tech. Our top picks include deals on smart TVs, Dyson vacuums, and Apple AirPods (which are currently sold out on Amazon). The Walmart sale is live from July 8-13, a full two days longer than Amazon’s yearly sale. (Early access for Walmart+ members kicked off the night before.)

Meanwhile, Best Buy is holding its weeklong “Black Friday in July” now through July 13, which features hefty savings on tech items like Dell touch screen laptops, unlocked iPhones, XBox, and more.

Target stans, we didn’t forget about you. Target is running a seven-day Circle Week event that started on July 6 and goes to July 12, with up to 40% off tech and gaming gear, “Buy two, get one free” on books, movies, and music, and more.

Out of stock alert: We have good news and bad news.

Bad news first — Amazon no longer has the $399 AirPods Max available for sale. They’re now listed for $429.99 at Amazon, which is an OK price. The good news? You can still grab Apple’s stylish over-ears for this record-low price at Walmart. Though, we do recommend placing your order ASAP.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7: Another record-low price? As of July 8, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is on at Amazon for $199.99, marked down from the list price of $329.99. That’s a 39% discount and the lowest price we’ve ever seen at Amazon. Read more here.

Sony XM6: The new Sony XM6 headphones were just released on May 15, but they’re already on sale for around $20 off, putting them at $428 at Amazon. Now, a $20 price drop doesn’t exactly put these flagship cans in the bargain price range. But since this Prime Day deal is the first-ever discount on XM6 headphones, we had to share the news. Get this deal here.

11-inch iPad: The 11-inch Apple iPad is on sale for $279.99 this Prime Day, saving you $69.01 on list price. Our Apple expert hand-picked this deal as one of the best to drop on Prime Day. But the catch is that only the yellow model is available at this record-low price, with stock vanishing on the other models. You’re going to need to act fast to secure this low price.
