Indie App Spotlight: ‘Peaks’ uses Apple Health data to help you manage your energy – 9to5Mac

Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.

If you’re an Apple Watch user, the Apple Health app has loads of useful data based on what it can collect from the watch. However, it’s not always easy to analyze that data and turn it into actionable health advice. Peaks solves one part of the problem, by utilizing your sleep data to help you plan your circadian rhythm.

Top features

First things first, Peaks doesn’t exclusively work with Apple Watch. Any sleep data that syncs to Apple Health will do the job.

Using your sleep data, Peaks will be able to tell you exactly when your energy is, well, at its peak. This helps you figure out when it’s most effective to get work done, finish a workout, avoid caffeine, or wind down. The goal is to avoid energy crashes when you don’t want them.

Peaks also provides tons of useful sleep insights, allowing you to track sleep debt, recovery, and sleep quality/consistency.

To make everything easily accessible, Peaks offers an Apple Watch app, complications, as well as home screen widgets on the iPhone. This makes everything incredibly easy to see at a glance. You can also add your energy windows to your calendar if you choose.

Download the app

Peaks is available for free on the App Store for devices running iOS 18 or watchOS 11 and later. For Peaks Pro, which unlocks widgets, custom schedules, sleep scores, and calendar integration: you can subscribe for $4.99/month or $29.99/year.
