Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.
Planning things accordingly can be hard. Timescape aims to make that easier by providing you a big picture look at your entire year, making it easy for you to see what long-term events you may already have booked.
Top features
There are obviously a lot of calendar apps on the App Store, but Timescape stands out with a unique all-year calendar view. It has an extremely optimal interface for seeing every date on the calendar at once, without any tiny text or minimal indicators.
It can be pretty easy to forget about something if it was planned long in advance. That’s what Timescape aims to solve. It’s explicitly built to be a big-picture calendar view, enabling users to always keep all of their calendar in mind.
When you tap on dates in Timescape, you can see the details of events planned that day in a little bar at the bottom. You can also create new events from that bar. This little event ribbon at the bottom keeps your all-year calendar in view at all times.
Timescape also allows you to swipe between years, so you can plan even further ahead if you’d like. The app also offers calendar filters, so if there are certain calendars you don’t want to sync to Timescape, you can do that.

Timescape is available for $0.99/month or $7.99/year, with the option for a 7-day free trial. While you do save money with the annual plan, the developers do encourage using monthly temporarily as a means for occasional planning. You can download it on the App Store here.
