Hundreds of thousands of Brits are without internet services, as Vodafone, BT and other companies are experiencing outages.

Reports of outages began increasing around 2.30pm today, and are also being seen at Sky and other internet providers.

It’s unclear what’s prompted the widespread outages, but users are experiencing issues with broadband at home.

Virgin Media, Voxi, EE, O2 and others are also reporting issues.

WhatsApp, Grok, 3, Asda Mobile, Now, and Giff Gaff are also seeing increased reports of outages – some users citing a ‘total blackout’.

One Vodafone customer wrote on X: ‘Landline internet is down, their websites are down, and phone lines are giving the number not available signal.’

The issues appear to be across the UK, but hotspots include London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Metro has contacted Vodafone. EE and Voxi for more information.
