“A future where children’s dreams and imagination become reality through blockchain is coming.”
Recently, the blockchain industry has been abuzz with discussions about RWA (Real World Assets) and the tokenization of physical assets. RWA is being applied to various industries, including film, music, real estate, and character IPs, leading to innovations in investment and content creation.
Now, the world of animation IP, which stimulates children’s imagination, is also gaining attention as it embraces blockchain-based RWA business models.
One of the most notable companies in this space is Arimoa, the creator and operator of the global kids’ content brand ChiChiPingPing. Inspired by Around the World in 80 Days, ChiChiPingPing has produced four seasons and has been broadcast not only in Korea but also in the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
Arimoa is gaining attention for its collaboration with Punkvism, the operator of the Punky Kongz NFT project. Together, they are launching ChiChiPingPing merchandise and international distribution rights as RWA assets. Leveraging its experience in the Web3 blockchain ecosystem, Punkvism is developing digital asset utilization projects focusing on RWA and NFT in markets such as Korea and Indonesia.
With the market intrigued by this innovative fusion of animation IP and RWA, we sat down with Arimoa’s CEO, Kye Young-jin, to discuss his vision for the future.
Q: What kind of IP is ChiChiPingPing?
ChiChiPingPing is an animation designed to spark children’s imagination and sense of adventure. We started planning and producing it 10 years ago to help children dream, explore the world, and grow. Through stories of adventure and friendship, we aim to teach children The power of curiosity and cultural diversity while providing the thrill of exploring fantastical worlds.
But our goal isn’t just to create cute characters or entertaining stories—we want to offer content that children can directly experience and engage with. That’s why we are expanding ChiChiPingPing beyond animation into educational programs, interactive events, merchandise, and more.
Q: What is the ChiChiPingPing RWA Project, and what inspired it?
From the very beginning, ChiChiPingPing was built around the philosophy that “anything children imagine can become real.” However, there were limits to making those imaginations tangible within the animation alone. We wanted to connect imagination to the real world. We found the answer in blockchain technology and the RWA model.
Just as RWA is transforming industries like film and music, we saw immense potential in applying it to character IPs. We launched this project with the goal of creating an ecosystem where anyone can build an open, global ecosystem that empowers contributors and beneficiaries of the ChiChiPingPing IP.
Q: How does the RWA model apply to animation IP?
Simply put, the ChiChiPingPing RWA Project connects physical assets and content IP through blockchain, opening investment opportunities to people worldwide.
For example, ChiChiPingPing’s children’s English learning books, merchandise production, and theme park development can be tokenized as RWA assets. Ownership or revenue rights can be issued as RWA tokens, and investments and profit-sharing will be facilitated through ChiChiPingPing Coin.
Right now, we are in final negotiations with companies in Thailand, China, and Mongolia for the export of ChiChiPingPing’s English learning books. Once this is in place, investors won’t just hold tokens; they’ll share in the expanding value of an IP that has already been distributed in 95 countries. The capital raised through this model will accelerate global projects, from book exports and merchandise sales to theme park operations.
Q: What role will ChiChiPingPing Coin play?
ChiChiPingPing Coin will serve as a digital key for the global IP economy. Investors can purchase these coins to participate in various ChiChiPingPing-related projects.
For example, they can invest in the Thailand ChiChiPingPing English Learning Book Export RWA, the China Merchandise RWA, or the Indonesia Theme Park RWA project. The coin will also be used as a primary currency in merchandise transactions and Web3.0 games.
We are currently planning a ChiChiPingPing Web3.0 game where players can use the coin to buy in-game items or participate in exclusive events. This expands the coin’s utility from pure investment to actual content consumption.
Q: Can you elaborate on the Web3.0 game concept?
The idea is to extend ChiChiPingPing’s universe into an interactive game. In this game, Children can immerse themselves in exciting adventures with the characters, craft items, and trade assets.
Because it is built on Web3.0, players will truly own in-game assets (such as characters and items) as NFTs, which they can trade or use on external platforms. Additionally, ChiChiPingPing Coin will be the core currency that supports the game’s economic system.
This model allows players to enjoy the game while indirectly benefiting from RWA-based project earnings. At the same time, investors can influence the game’s economy, increasing the value of their tokens.
Q: What is your vision for expanding the IP beyond animation into theme parks and merchandise?
Looking at examples like Mickey Mouse and Hello Kitty, we see how character IPs can expand beyond a single country to become global brands, encompassing theme parks, merchandise, and media content.
Mickey Mouse generates approximately 6 trillion KRW in annual revenue, helping to build the Disney empire. Similarly, Hello Kitty and Thomas the Tank Engine each earn over 1 trillion KRW annually.
Our goal is to turn ChiChiPingPing into a global IP powerhouse. We believe the RWA model will serve as the foundation and catalyst for this expansion. If global investors and fans join us, this vision will become a reality. Imagine a ChiChiPingPing theme park where children and parents create lasting memories using NFT tickets for exclusive experiences. That is the moment when children’s dreams and reality truly converge.
Q: How are you addressing the regulatory and investment structure challenges of RWA?
Blockchain and RWA are still in their early stages in terms of regulatory frameworks. To navigate this landscape, we are working closely with legal experts and consulting partners to ensure a legally sound business structure.
The ChiChiPingPing RWA Project will ensure transparency through public disclosures and smart contract-based revenue distribution. We will strictly adhere to AML/KYC regulations and adjust our approach according to different countries’ legal landscapes to create a safe and trustworthy investment environment for global participants.
Q: What is the ultimate goal and vision of the ChiChiPingPing RWA Project?
ChiChiPingPing was born from the belief that children’s dreams can become reality. Now, we have blockchain and RWA technology to make that connection to the real world.
Our vision is to transform ChiChiPingPing into a global community-driven business where content IP and real-world assets merge. We want children’s imaginations—nurtured through animation—to refine in theme parks, merchandise, and Web3.0 games, with fans and investors collaborating to bring them to life.
ChiChiPingPing is not just for children or creators—it is a shared ecosystem where kids, adults, fans, and investors can dream and grow together. With global support and participation, this imagined world will soon be our reality.
