Oppo will formalize its next high-end smartphone, the Find X8, on October 24 in China. It features the Dimensity 9400 from MediaTek, a premium chip that the Taiwanese founder has just made official. Engraved in 3 nm, this SoC wants to compete with Qualcomm’s future premium chip thanks to its power and an ability to run the most advanced AI functions. Smartphone manufacturers are not going to be asked to emphasize this last skill.
A video showing the Opoo Find X8 and its Dimensity 9400 offers a taste of the AI features the device will offer. The software that will power these artificial intelligence features will be ColorOS 15, an overlay based on Android 15. As a reminder, the new version of Google’s mobile OS should arrive in the coming days on Pixels.

The video lasts almost three minutes and discusses the power of the Dimensity 9400 in different facets. MediaTek’s chip engine helps the user manage their schedule, relying on AI to optimize their schedule. It also gets restaurant recommendations, personalized directions, and conversation starters. The smartphone also seems to offer a sort of equivalent to Genmoji in order to create stickers from prompts. It is then possible to share them via a messaging application.
Finally, the video confirms the design of the Find X8 and the presence of a large circular photo block. A style quite close to the previous model, with thin borders and flat edges. The Hasselblad logo is present and rumors suggest the presence of a triple 50 Mpx sensor. Oppo would bet on a wide-angle, accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle and a periscopic telephoto lens. Besides the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, the Find X8 is said to arrive with 12 to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. It would have a battery of around 5,700 mAh, compatible with 80 W wired fast charging. 50 W wireless charging would also be available.
Soon in France?
This high-end smartphone will arrive in China at the end of the month, but we do not yet know if it will arrive in France. The return of Oppo to France – which has just launched new Reno 12s in our region – gives hope for a launch of the Find X8 at the start of next year.
