2026 will be the year that work headsets finally come into the modern era, thanks to Jabra’s new Evolve3 series — headsets that ditch the boom mic and add modern audio features like support for spatial audio and adaptive ANC.

Beyond their new audio features, Jabra says that its new Evolve3 85 over-ear and Evolve3 75 on-ear models will offer 120 hours of music on a single charge and 25 hours of calls. When you’re out of juice, 10 minutes on the charger will enable 10 hours of playback. If you need to transcribe your calls, the headphones offer one-touch, high-accuracy transcription through Jabra’s bespoke ClearVoice technology.

They’re not going to be cheap when they launch on March 1, but their cutting-edge aesthetic (and features) could make them worth the cost of admission.

The future of headsets has arrived (sort of)

Jabra is blurring the line between premium high-end wireless headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM6 or AirPods Max and its long-running workhorse headsets. The Evolve3 85 is the culmination of those efforts.

A minimalist design that fits the flexibility of modern work scenarios as well as the need for a clean, everyday look.

In a press release explaining its design decisions, Jabra says that the Evolve3 85 and Evolve3 75 “offer a minimalist design that fits the flexibility of modern work scenarios as well as the need for a clean, everyday look.”

Basically, you can wear them all day at the office, then take them home on the bus or train and no one would be any wiser that you’re still wearing a headset.

What separates the 75 from the 85 model? The Evolve3 75 are similarly designed but instead of earcups that cover the ears, the headset will rest on the ears. It has slightly less battery life (110 hours vs the 120 hours on the Evolve3 85) but otherwise sports the same features as its significantly-more-expensive sibling.

In terms of pricing, the Jabra Evolve3 75 will launch at $463 while the Evolve3 85 will come in at $649. Both will be available in two colors — black or warm gray — with the black color option releasing on March 1 and the warm grey colorway coming in April.

Will they be able to beat out the best headphones in sound quality? We’ll be sure to call them in to answer that question. Stay tuned.
