Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Lotus and even McLaren, all these manufacturers have the common point of being British. On the island, they are the representation of luxury and prestige, witnesses and defenders of a certain know-how, British refinement and handmade work.
To this non-exhaustive list of British manufacturers, we can add Jaguar. The brand founded in 1922 in Blackpool has long been part of this tradition of English automobiles, where luxury and comfort dominate, sometimes at the cost of performance.
But at a time of a historic transition in the automobile world towards electric cars, this century-old tradition of the prestigious English car no longer seems to appeal to Jaguar. At least, the brand wants to modernize, and it has decided to take a 180-degree turn to achieve this.

Since 2021, the manufacturer has focused primarily on electric cars. If the first model should arrive at dealerships at the end of next year, Jaguar’s philosophy is already known to everyone, notably with the presentation this week of the “Type 00”, a very innovative concept car, and 100% electric.
Presented from Miami, the car displays very futuristic lines, with a very slender front hood. The lines are raw and we could almost find the air of Cybertruck in the design. Once past the gullwing doors, the wood and leather that made Jaguar cars so prestigious gave way to brass.
Record autonomy
It crosses the white interior in three long strips, as if to demarcate the different spaces and give a feeling of speed, even when stationary. But in addition to its more than astonishing look, the English manufacturer has given some information on the capabilities of this car that is truly unlike any other.
Jaguar particularly talked about the autonomy of this concept car. The brand claims to be closer to 800 kilometers on a single charge. In this sense, the “Type 00” is closer to the thermal cars that we drive every day and autonomy is no longer a problem.
In addition to this record autonomy, Jaguar promises that the charging is also breathtaking. The manufacturer promises 250 kilometers of additional range with a 15-minute quick charge. Enough to make stops at motorway rest areas profitable during long journeys.
Jaguar has not yet communicated sales prices for its future electric cars. But with such a technical sheet, you should not expect to Buy these models for less than 80,000 euros.
