A few months after his notable appearance at D23 Anaheim, James Cameron took advantage of the first Brazilian edition to give news of the third film dedicated to Pandora. This time, there is no question of revealing the title with great fanfare, simply of addressing the public by videoconference and providing news of the project. If 13 years separated the first two parts, things accelerate for the rest. Avatar : Fire and Ash is still promised to be released on our screens by the end of 2025 and all the lights are green. Cameron’s teams are currently working on the postproductiona crucial process for a film that relies mainly on digital effects. They will have a little over a year to complete what promises to be a new technical feat for the father of Titanic et Terminator.
To accompany these announcements, the director did not hesitate to present some new images. If you have to wait a little longer to lay your eyes on a real trailer, some concept-arts allow you to discover the new features that should be added to the already particularly rich cinematographic universe. We can see new means of air transportas well as a luminous water point which is reminiscent of the aesthetic of the first film. It must be said that Cameron must immortalize a new tribe, after air and water, it’s fire which will be at the epicenter of the story. Flying ships are also presented as the way to this nomadic people to roam Pandora.

“A lot of hatred and rage”
To present the nation of ashes, James Cameron gives a cryptic description. On stage, the director indicates that this new nation like “the reflection of the worst side of the N’avi”. He added: “We feel a lot of anger and rage in the world we live in right now”. He continued his presentation by discussing the creative process of Avatar 3, and in particular how the work on the previous films facilitated the implementation of his ideas. “We are like a family. We are in the third film, it’s no longer about creating charactersit’s about bringing everyone together and seeing where the characters go.”

As a reminder, Avatar : Fire and Ash must invest in cinemas in France on December 17, 2025. Two other films are promised to spectators, allowing the saga to continue until 2031. WhenAvatar 5 will be released in cinemas, the revolutionary universe of James Cameron will celebrate its 22nd anniversary.
