KDE Plasma 6.5 Beta 2 released this week and more fixes have landed for this desktop update due out later this month. Plus KDE developers have begun landing more feature work intended for Plasma 6.6.
KDE developer Nate Graham is out with his weekly feature recap for all things Plasma. Some of this week’s KDE Plasma highlights include:
– Plasma 6.5 when set to a non-English language, the Emoji Selector will now let you search using the English names in addition to the names in the primary language being used.
– Several bug fixes to Discover in Plasma 6.5.
– KDE Frameworks 6.19 will fix an issue where Plasma would crash when asked to display certain malformed themes.
– Plasma 6.4.6 will fix an issue where Plasma would consume CPU time for no reason when the Networks widget is visible in the active part of the System Tray, until the first time the System Tray popup is opened.
– Plasma 6.6 will have better performance and memory efficiency when opening the Sticky Note widget’s context menu.
– Plasma 6.6 has made several user interface improvements to its time zone chooser map.
