The event planned by Amazon on September 30 promises to be a major strategic stage in the brand’s ecosystem. In an invitation sent to the press, the American giant does not play suspense: in a few days, he intends to update some of his emblematic ranges, with – we imagine – a special focus on artificial intelligence. At the edge of its Prime Day event, which will be held at the beginning of October, the meeting is not trivial.

The company, already a pioneer with Alexa, seems to want to strengthen its position on the market of connected assistants, by integrating new generation AI technologies into its devices, especially in its Echo speakers, its Kindle readers, and potentially in its Fire TV streaming devices.

New connected speakers, even more intelligent

For several years, Amazon has been undergoing massively in the development of Alexa, its intelligent vocal assistant. The next step could consist of a redesigned version, incorporating more sophisticated generative or contextual AI capabilities. This would interact more fluid with users, by anticipating their needs, by offering more natural responses, or even in performing certain tasks based on complex vocal commands.

Online in sight, we find the range of Echo speakers, present on the visual of the conference. The dowry, Pop and Show recently had a hardware update, but the classic Echo has not changed for several years. From there to hope for a production, flanked by an AI integration with Alexa+, there is only one step.

Kindle au programme

Another recognizable element of the visual: the Kindle ecosystem should also be the subject of one (or more) novelties. The scribes and the Colorsoft made their nest on the high -end market. Amazon could take advantage of the event to announce a more accessible model, capable of competing with increasingly inventive competitors. The Paperwhite model is particularly cited, but it could also be a more general update concerning (again) the software part, and artificial intelligence. The company could, for example, introduce features dedicated to more interactive reading, such as instant translation, improved voice synthesis, or intelligent book recommendations depending on the user’s tastes. The AI could also optimize battery management or display quality, for a more natural experience and less tiring for the eye.

Fire TV too

The Fire TV, too, are likely to experience an update. They could enjoy a Reinforced AI for optimizing content recommendationor integrate improved voice recognition. For the moment, nothing is certain, but the meeting is made: on September 30 at 4 p.m. (French time), the American firm will lift the veil on its new features. For Amazon, the challenge is to keep its position, by offering smarter devices, capable of interacting more naturally with the user, without exploding their budget in passing. Because this is the issue: the announcement of September 30 could mark the start of a new AI for Amazon, but the promise of a smarter, responsive, and personalized ecosystem could logically bring the business to boost its prices.
