A startup called KoderAI Corp. made its debut at the 2025 CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas today, unveiling a new agentic generative AI coding platform that does much more than just write lines of code.
Instead, it goes whole hog, enabling anyone, including those with no coding skills at all, to build slick applications, websites and more using only natural language commands. KoderAI can do this thanks to an array of AI agents, which are more advanced artificial intelligence algorithms capable of performing complex, multistep tasks on behalf of users with minimal input.
Powered by a proprietary “mixture of experts” model, KoderAI’s agents are each specialized in a different aspect of software development. By drawing on a team of AI coders, anyone to plan, design wireframes, generate code, tests, scripts, databases and, finally, deploy their finished application or website.
The startup explains that it’s inspired by the belief that generative AI should do magical things for people, which means creating apps and websites that actually work, rather than just generating the code that powers them.
That’s necessary because, though today’s generative AI tools already excel at creating code from nothing, users still need considerable expertise to transform that code into a working application. KoderAI likens tools such as GitHub Inc.’s Copilot to handing someone a LEGO set with no instructions. Without those instructions, very few people will be able to build the final model.
There should be a big market for a generative AI tool that can whip up a complete application from scratch. According to KoderAI’s founder and Chief Executive Elmer Morales, there are more than 8 billion people in the world today, but just 30 million of them have the required coding skills to build a working app. As a result, the vast majority of people with great ideas lack the technical skills to put them into practice.
“Our goal is to make KoderAI so simple that to create a new app or website, you won’t need to know how to write code or even know how to use an IDE editor,” Morales said. “Simply describe your vision in plain English and a team of AI agents will work together to achieve your goal.”
Morales explained that KoderAI’s agent team will first make a plan, then help users to design the look and feel of their app or website. Once that’s done, it will write the code, create a logo and finally publish the finished product in the cloud or an app store. Throughout the process, the user only has to talk to the AI agents and instruct them what to do.
KoderAI’s team of agentic AI coders are trained to perform very specific coding tasks. For instance, it includes a user interface designer, a backend coder, a software tester and so on. These agents are rebuilt and ready to use, and it’s also possible for users with more AI knowhow to create customized agents that are tailored to their personalities.
Users can also choose from a range of underlying large language models to try and get the desired results. So if they’re not satisfied with KoderAI’s default model, they can instead choose Google LLC’s Gemini 2.0 Flash or xAI Corp.’s Grok, and see what impact it has on the capabilities of each AI coding agent.
Holger Mueller of Constellation Research Inc. told News that KoderAI is an early example of fully autonomous AI agents that can cooperate with other AI agents without any instructions from users asking them to do so.
“It’s pitching what sounds like a very compelling offering that will not only fully automate the software development lifecycle but also expand the total addressable market,” the analyst said. “By allowing anyone to create software that works using only their natural language, it’s paving the way for everyone to get involved, while advancing the concept of autonomous automation.”
KoderAI said its platform is being made available as a technical preview with limited access, but it will gradually add more users as it works toward launching in general availability.
“We’re taking a bold, ground-up approach to create something that’s accessible to everyone, from entrepreneurs with big ideas to friends and family who’ve always wished they could bring their creative visions to life,” Morales said. “We’re reimagining the future of software development, experimenting with new user experiences and workflows that can bring the magic of AI to everyone, not just those who know how to use an IDE code editor.”
