A KROGER shopper has accused the store of “ruining” his attempt to get Christmas dinner delivered for his 91-year-old mother.
X user Dan P took to social media to complain about the bungle, posting two separate complaints on Christmas Day.
The social media user first attacked Instacart, revealing his order was confirmed but then three hours later he was told it would be delayed until December 26.
“@Instacart you suck,” Dan P said on X.
“Ruined my plans for getting my mother Christmas dinner.
“Nothing but trouble every time I have tried to use it. my order was confirmed, but, 3 hours after she was supposed to get the order, I get a message it was delayed. UNTIL 12/26.”
The social media user then separately attacked Kroger one hour later, saying their “delivery service sucks.”
“@kroger Your delivery service sucks,” he wrote on X.
“Ruined my plans to get my 91 y/o mother a Christmas dinner delivered since she can’t get out, and I couldn’t get into town this year.
“She relies on this service, and it is flawed and unreliable.
“Many issues each time I’ve used it.”
Neither Kroger nor Instacart have responded to the customer’s complaints.
Instacart is an on-demand delivery platform that allows customers to order groceries and other items from local stores for delivery or pickup.
It is a membership based service, and claims to have groceries delivered to people’s doors “in as little as 30 minutes”.
Customers are also able to order online and pick them up at a local store.
Customers can order groceries from major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Costco, Kroger, as well as regional retailers like Publix, Aldi, and Wegmans.
They can also order products from Amazon, Best Buy, Lowes, and Staples.
Instacart may be a good option for many people on Christmas Day, considering many stores are closed during the holidays.
CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS
The U.S. Sun frequently covers customer complaints, and recently revealed how a Target customer was forced into using self-checkout but then was unable to pay despite scanning all his items.
The frustrated customer took to social media to express his fury at the store, branding Target “the dumbest” retailer.
X user Jason Karns contacted Target via the social media platform saying: “Target, you run the dumbest store”.
The user noted there were no staff members available to assist him when checking out.
Another shopper recently slammed Target saying they were disappointed in the chain’s poor Christmas stock.
