Laurent Perea will be the new CEO of Capgemini in Spain

Starting next February 1the consultant Capgemini will have a new CEO in Spain. It is about Laurent Pereawho will replace Luis Abad in the position after five years in office. Perea, an industrial engineer by training, has been working at Capgemini for more than two decades, where he has held different positions.

Throughout his career at the company he has advised different management committees, in addition to being responsible for different strategic programs for multinationals of all types in areas such as digital and technological transformation, redesign of operating models, post-merger integration and performance improvement.

Until now, Laurent Perea was General Director of Capgemini Engineering in Spain, a position he held in 2023. As such, he has been the group’s top manager in engineering and R&D services. Previously, since 2018, he led Capgemini Invent, the company’s digital innovation, design and transformation brand in Spain.

Perea has two master’s degrees, completed respectively at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, focused especially on areas related to technology and business transformation.

It is not the only change that Capgemini will face in Spain in the coming weeks, since Eva Cesteros will now be the head of Capgemini Engineering in Spain. Cesteros is an industrial engineer and has more than 20 years of experience. She is currently the Director of Operations for the group’s engineering and R&D activities in Spain. She has previously held various positions of responsibility at Capgemini, and has been Director of Operations and Business Director of Aeronautics, Space and Defense.
