Lava has just dropped a new entry-level smartphone in the Indian market dubbed Lava Shark. The smartphone offers a basic design with flat edges, a flat display, and a metallic look as well. At the back, we get to see a square-shaped camera island at the top left corner consisting of three circular sensor cutouts and a flash.
Apart from that, the Lava branding can be seen at the bottom left of the back panel. As for the pricing, the Lava Shark is available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 6,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and 64GB internal storage.
Lava will also provide a year warranty and free Service at Home too. Interested readers can buy the phone through authorized Lava retail stores. It will be available in two color options – Titanium Gold and Stealth Black.
Lava Shark specifications and features
The Lava Shark comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate which is insane at the mentioned pricing. It will be powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The RAM of the device can be virtually expanded up to 4GB. And the storage of the device can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card support. The device operates on the Android 14 operating system.
As for optics, the Lava Shark sports a 50MP AI-backed primary shooter along with LED flash. The sensors will be able to give us average-level photographs in different lighting conditions. For the sake of selfies, the smartphone houses as 8MP front snapper along with features like Pro Mode, HDR support, AI Mode, etc.
The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery along with 18W wired fast charging support. The device ships with a 10W charger in the box. As claimed by the company, the device can offer up to 45 hours of talk time. And it can get fully fueled up in 158 minutes as well.
